This is a commercialized rendition of “new age.” (God, do we really need ANOTHER copy of “Tubular Bells”?) Of all the REALLY GOOD ‘new age’ available, this is a totally dis-appointing anthology of mundane, run-of-the-mill music.

This is the kind of utter garbage they use to subdue wild boars in Papua New Guinea. An utterly wasteful collection of schlocky new-age pipey music, all under the guise of the “PURE MOODS” label.

I sold this CD because first of all the collection of songs are not great & second the recording quality of this CD is (on some selections) flawed. For example, the first track, the beginning of the song you hear a flaw/sound that is NOT on the original Enigma recording. This was a cheaply produced CD obviously as it was featured on TV commercials before release in stores. Some of the songs are nice, but some are really TACKY new age music. Although the new age genre is filled with many incredible artists, it is also replete with some amazingly atrocious musical compositions. I would suggest buying some of the artist’s individual CD’s instead of this recording. And for a taste of solidly crafted new age music with an eastern heart, goto the PACIFIC MOON label.
